Metropolis Books in Melbourne CBD
It's small! It's hidden away, and I got confused on google maps and went into an alleyway and discovered beautiful graffiti art instead (but also I was surrounded by rubbish bins and was like MY PEOPLE).
Anyway, you're meant to go from the main street and there's this dark and janky door (love it) and before you even think about taking the elevator, there's a sign that asks you to take the stairs because it's healthier for you.
Sure. Might as well work for it.
I've been told this is independently owned, so go support it. It's so niche in its selection and I love how much personality there is. I dropped by a Dymocks afterwards and couldn't find anything pertaining to the books I saw in Metropolis.
I'd stay here for hours if I could.
